How we see children
Our curriculum prepares children for school, and it does more than that. We want children to leave here confident, curious, and capable. We go beyond traditional daycare with a well-rounded learning experience that supports academic, emotional, and social growth. Every child in our care gets our attention, because we are small enough to know each one.
Rooms are arranged for the age group in them, with materials children can reach and choose for themselves. Teachers work in small groups and one to one, joining play rather than directing it from across the room. When a child is frustrated with a puzzle or a friend, a teacher gets down to their level and stays with it. Our teaching staff are qualified registered Early Childhood Educators.
We are fully licensed, and our teaching staff are highly qualified registered Early Childhood Educators. Our team is trained in CPR and First Aid, and we take part in professional development to stay current on best practices in early childhood education. What you notice in practice
Teachers get down to a child's eye level to talk, listen, and answer. They follow what a child is interested in and build from there, rather than pulling everyone to the same task at the same moment. Small groups and one-to-one moments mean a teacher can notice when a child needs help and when a child is ready for more.
Each room is set up for the children in it, with low shelves, open floor space, and materials within reach. The day has a steady shape: active play, quieter table work, meals, and rest, with transitions kept calm and unhurried. Children know what comes next, which helps them settle.
How we work with families
At pickup, a teacher can tell you how your child ate, slept, and played, and what they worked on that day. Questions are welcome any time, not only at conferences. If something is on your mind, say it at the door or call, and we will find a time to sit down and talk it through.
The first weeks are a transition for the whole family, so we take them at your child's pace. You can ask about our settling-in routine and how we keep you updated in those early days. Once your forms are read, completed, and signed and the deposit is paid, your child's space is reserved; then you choose a start date.
