Children in this program work on reading, writing, and early numeracy, all inside play and exploration. Counting, patterns, addition, and subtraction come through games and hands-on materials. Literacy, math, science, and creative arts fill the day, and Spanish runs alongside English so children hear and use both languages. The aim is a child who is ready for school and curious beyond it.
Glenis Day Care LLC is in Perth Amboy and has been caring for children for over a decade. Glenis Bisono founded the center and serves as Director. Ages run from infancy through preschool, and the daycare is open Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM. The center is fully licensed, and all teaching staff are qualified registered Early Childhood Educators.
A preschool day usually moves between group time, quiet work at tables, and open play. Children might sort buttons by color, trace letters in sand, count blocks into towers, or paint at an easel. Teachers sit with small groups and ask questions rather than lecture. A parent touring the room should see children choosing materials, talking with each other, and adults down at their level.
