Preschoolers in this room work on reading, writing, and early numeracy, and they practice counting, patterns, addition, and subtraction as they play. Teachers set out literacy, math, science, and creative arts activities that children handle themselves. Days hold both choice time and group time, so a child learns to start something and to join in.
The room carries a bilingual thread. Children hear and use both English and Spanish through the day, which builds fluency in two languages and gives them practice talking with people from different backgrounds.
The aim is bigger than school readiness. Children leave with the confidence and curiosity to try things that are new and the social footing to work alongside other kids. Kindergarten is a step they can take without fear.

Glenis Day Care LLC is family-owned and operated, founded and led by Glenis Bisono. The center has over a decade of experience caring for children from infancy through preschool. All teaching staff are highly qualified registered Early Childhood Educators, and the team is trained in CPR and First Aid. The center is fully licensed. Hours run Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
A preschool day usually moves between active and quiet. Children arrive and settle, then gather for a short group time with songs, a story, or a question of the day. After that come centers: a writing table, blocks, a science tray, an art shelf, and a pretend-play corner. Teachers move between them, sitting down to ask a child what they are making.
